Noble Rot is proud to be the Wellington WSET education provider. We are working in partnership with the NZSWS to bring internationally recognised wine qualification courses to Wellington in an informative but relaxed atmosphere. To begin, we will be hosting Levels 1 & 2 at Noble Rot with an eye to the future to host Level 3 also. The WSET is an international institution based in London and is the world leader in wine eduction. The WSET courses are considered the best preparation to attempt to sit the gruelling Master of Wine qualification.

Here at Noble Rot, the team is actively tasting and learning about wine. We would love to share our knowledge, experience, and love of wine with you. We can design a group tasting for 6 -12 people, focusing on a specific wine style or region.

Education is provided by our Sommelier team including Maciej Zimny, NZ Sommelier of the Year 2015.

2 hours Wine Tasting with a Noble Rot Sommelier
Tasting includes; A tasting of 6 wines with charcuterie & cheese from Noble Rot’s kitchen.
By appointment only, Monday – Friday
10:30 am – 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Minimum Group Size 6 people / Maximum Group Size 12 people

Level I – Classic Styles of NZ ($70 per head)

An overview of New Zealand’s wine regions & grape varieties. A good starting point for developing palates and a perfect way to understand New Zealand wine.

Level II – International Wine ($85 per head)

A look at international wine styles & lesser-known grape varieties.
Choose either;
Old World… France / Italy / Spain
New World… Australia / USA / South America.

Level III – Fine Wine ($120 per head)

A tasting of fine wine with a specific regional focus.
We will tailor the tasting for you by asking specific questions when you book.
